This website came to us with a fairly clean slate -- essentially no traffic.

In this case study, you are going to learn how we radically increased their overall number of keywords, AND brought in an estimated $350,000 worth of traffic - each month!

Background:

The owner was aggressive and wanted to compete with the biggest names in his niche.

This website began in July 2017 and built traffic up to approximately 13,000 visitors a month prior to jumping on our Snap Managed SEO in October of 2017.

We worked with the customer to make an aggressive strategy, beginning with a $4,200 / month funding progressively working around $56,000 per month as results came (this is how you scale).

The SEO Audit

This website had no preceding penalties because it was comparatively fresh.

We did see it had some competitive anchor texts making up 7 percent of their profile, however we knew we had the funds to diversify.

Considering these key words were ranking close to the top, we knew we can concentrate on these for some rapid traffic jumps!

Each one the key words had a cost per click (CPC), meaning someone was bidding them in Google Ads plus they'd be valuable to rank for. In reality, and a number of these were quality keywords were extremely rewarding but with CPC around $20 per click!

We put this all into consideration when choosing keywords & page goals, as lots of the pages rated for a large number of key words.

Furthermore, by sharing this information with the customer, they were able optimize their webpages with LSI key words to help increase the positions.

Keyword Gap Analysis

This analysis is intended to help us find keywords your competitors are now rank for that you aren't. These keywords are fantastic for creating a great deal of new content ideas!

We originally identified over 1000+ keywords which this sites opponents were targeting but this website wasn't.

We identified 3 Kinds of articles to target and used each at different approaches over the course of this effort:

Category Pages:

These are wide, higher volume key words that speak in general about a topic.

Product Review Pages

Together with the keyword gap analysis, we were able to determine valuable product and brand terms to use. We used this to create a considerable amount of content which would help them earn revenue.

Supporting Content

Later in the campaign, we curated a substantial amount of foundation articles, we began creating supporting content for the high competition keywords.

For instance, we would support a large broader category keyword with contextually relevant articles that all linked to the high competition keywords article, building a foundation for the rankings. These were usually niche, avatar-specific, or situational variations of hub pages.

In most of our campaigns we start the campaign off by creating a diverse set of quality in-content backlink or much more content - the bread and butter of search engine optimization.
