In this case study, you are going to discover how we skyrocketed a SAAS site through the Google result pages.

This website is currently getting over $10,000 per month in estimated organic traffic worth alone!

Campaign Insite:

This is a software as a service (SAAS) website with heaps large contracts.

Although the majority of the keywords they would like to target have little for monthly search volume, it is OK as they’re quite valuable keywords.

This website had great content, even a couple of first page positions, but that is such a lucrative industry that getting a couple more customers might easily bring in an added $100k+ per year per customer — Some of those PPC prices were insane – around $130 per click!

They had potential but just were not seeing the visitors yet — that is where we come!

The SEO Audit

Every time you work with us on a managed campaign the very first thing, we do is audit the website.

This website had no preceding penalties. It did have some visitors, but it was not growing.

There was not any over-optimization, and they simply didn’t have sufficient link juice!

We wanted to boost their links, in addition we generated consistent authoritative content.

Keyword Research

Finding Easy Wins

We found 114 search terms with a monthly search volume between 10-40 a month. Certainly, these aren’t high search volume keywords because it’s very niche software, but as mentioned earlier they are super lucrative.

The majority of these terms were on page 2-3. We knew from the beginning we probably wouldn’t see impressive traffic graphs for easy wins, but it would make them lots of money if we could rank them for these.

Competition Analysis

The competitive gap analysis helps us locate the keywords your competitors are currently ranking for but you aren’t.

These keywords are often great suggestions for new.

We found 301 terms between 300 – 10,000 searches a month, all with CPC. There were lots hidden of gems in there and we shared these ALL with the client.
