Our client’s website offers more than just eye care products. It’s an all-in-one shop that has everything you need to take good care of your eyes.

It contains educational articles, a glossary of terms related to eye care, online courses, and a bustling community of eye care professionals.

You can even download a free eye care app to track your routine.

They offer eye drops, vitamin wipes, cold compressions and other treatments for dry eyes.

This site is destined to be great.

They knew that they needed help from SEO experts to build an audience.

New Website Obscurity: How to overcome it

The site was a brand-new website with no organic traffic.

We knew that they had some good content, but their links were non-existent. So we built as many as we could for them.

They also needed to develop a keyword strategy to begin ranking for key terms that were relevant to their business.

The client had much work to do, so he signed up for our Managed SEO service, Snap Managed SEO.

We began our first phase as soon as our client signed the contract.

SEO Audit: Finding out where the client stands

We always begin by performing a comprehensive SEO audit, even with brand-new websites.
This requires a close examination of several factors, including:

  • The Core web Vitals test will show you the site’s loading speed.
  • On-page SEO factors such as keyword usage, metadata and content quality
  • Site architecture and URL structure
  • Keywords that are easy to target
  • Analysis of the top competitors

Our goals during this phase are double.

We’ll first optimize their existing content and fix any SEO mistakes like duplicate pages or content that is too thin.

Second, we search for keywords that are easy to win, such as those for which the site is already ranking but not very highly (think of positions 4-30).

Both goals are important to set the client up for future success.

In order to achieve the first goal, our team ensures that the client’s site is optimized and follows all SEO best practices. This includes tightening up the URL structure, adding internal linking to orphaned pages, and speeding them up if loading is slow.

The website was impressive from the start, and a team of people worked on creating content in accordance with Google’s Guidelines.

Finding ‘easy-win’ keywords.

We refer to keywords in positions 4-30 as ‘easy winners’ because we know that we can boost them significantly with a few quick optimizations.

We’ll see SERP rankings improve in a few months or weeks by improving keyword use, improving content quality and building high-quality backlinks.

These simple keywords are great because they allow clients to get started faster than other SEO techniques, such as creating new content.

Our Approach: Long Tail Keywords and Strategic Link Building

We focused our efforts on long-tail keywords with low difficulty scores.

The results were impressive despite the extensive keyword research.

We created a content calendar that contains a list of long-tail keyword searches, their CPC and difficulty score, as well as the search volume.

From there, we created thought-leader-worthy content for each keyword, ensuring we constantly outdid the competition.

We found a significant gap between the link profiles of our client and its top competitors during our SEO audit.

We knew that our client would need to build many links in order to compete. So, we went into a crunch mode to create as many links as possible. DA scores were not as important initially as we started to focus on higher-valued links as the site gained more authority.

The Results: Nearly 20k in Organic Traffic, 1,000+ Backlinks, and Over 214 Keywords Ranking in the Top 3

Once the results started coming in, they didn’t stop – and only compounded on themselves.

There were a few fluctuations in traffic here and there, but as you can see in this snapshot, the overall trend was up, up, and up:
